A good display frame should last for decades. With a little care, yours will stay looking great for the long run.
Cleaning the frame
Use a soft, dry cloth to dust the frame. For the acrylic glazing, a microfibre cloth works well — avoid paper towels which can leave micro-scratches. Don't use solvent-based cleaners or glass spray on the acrylic; warm water and a small amount of mild detergent is fine.
Positioning
- ✓Avoid direct sunlight — UV will fade the matboard and your bib over time
- ✓Keep away from damp areas (bathrooms, laundries)
- ✓Hang on a solid wall anchor — the frames are relatively light but use a proper picture hook
- ✓Don't lean the frame against a wall for extended periods
Protecting your memorabilia
Our frames use acid-free matboard, which won't yellow or transfer acids to your bib and medal over time. The acrylic glazing has UV blocking properties. Together, these protect your memorabilia from the main causes of long-term degradation.
Warranty
All frames are covered by a 12-month manufacturing warranty. If you notice any defects in materials or workmanship, contact us at orders@marathondisplayframes.com and we'll make it right.
